What's up Friday

It's pretty hilarious ... I am attempting to more regularly blog for both personal and professional reasons. Yet, I still have zero followers. I might as well look up to my hero Christian Slater in 'Pump Up The Volume' and look at my blog as a public forum and do my best to free associate like a brilliant Howard Stern or Cosell. Therefore, I declare that from here forth, I will run jaredscolumn as our time... whether to entertain or inform or both, I will follow the most utilitarian plan. My goal is to always think like a listener and BE INTERESTING! Radio, like so many traditional mediums, are changing drastically as the opportunities exist for virtually anyone with a computer and bandwidth to create their own podcast, blog, web site, mobile app, etc. So, with these advances, I shall begin to run my own radio magazine show...I used to want to run my own pirate radio station (see above movie reference) and now i have the opportunity to provide a fully virtual magazine, a network of sorts, with an online and mobile home, a super entertaining blog, podcast, videos, original music, likability. I can and will provide this. One day there will be 1, maybe 2, members. I want to provide you with a bevy of options; this is your show. That is why you will have text, audio, video etc. To suit various preferences. Next, there will be a complete open forum for your suggestions. Currently, in 2011, I also create web portals and mobile applications, so if the interest is ever there, I am equipped and savvy enough to provide the best-i- breed solution to create a fully customizable socially integrated magazine EXPERIENCE. I want to take you on a ride.
